Sharjah
Not far from Dubai and has a number of museums and art galleries, the Heritage museum; Islamic Handicraft Museum and Museum of Islamic Civilisation.

Hatta
An hour from Dubai is the fortress village of Hatta, with the Hatta Heritage Village with traditionally constructed houses. Close to Hatta are the Hatta Rock Pools with waterfalls and pools.

Hatta Heritage Village
A 16th Century village in the Hajjar mountains. The main feature is two round towers that protected the town against attacks. Hatta (04 852 1374).

Safe swimming pools along the floor of the wadi. 20 km south of Hatta.
