Dubai attractions

The past few years Dubai has been going all-out to become a top tourism destination and has added a wide range of visitor attractions. Dubai has, in a relatively short space of time, a very sought after tourism venue.

Most people associate Dubai with its shopping attractions. There are modern buildings featuring air conditioned malls such as the Mall of Arabia and Mall of the Emirates featuring international brands and multi-cultural restaurants, balanced by traditional markets such as the Gold Souk and Spice Souk that specialize in local crafts and culinary delights.

Dubai is also a prime destination for active tourists. Go on a desert safari where you can participate in sand boarding and camel and buggy rides. Then cool off at Wild Wadi which features more than water park rides, or any of Dubai’s first class beaches. Visitors who love getting physical on their travels, will go wild for Dubai’s sport attractions and theme parks. All the things one wouldn’t normally find in a desert are part of the Dubai experience, from magnificent golf courses to horse racing and even snow sport!

For culture lovers and art gallery fans there are plenty of attractions in Dubai. To learn about and experience Dubai’s rich Arabian heritage, make a note to visit its historical buildings as well as the the Al Ahmediya School, Jumeirah Mosque, Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding as well as Dubai’s museums, especially the Dubai Museum

Fun attractions for young and old abound in Dubai. Animal attractions include the Dubai Zoo where you can see the rare Arabian Wildcat, and Children’s City, an educational nature and cultural centre.

And last but not least, the dhows have become a very popular attraction – end off your visit off with a walk around the dhow wharf where you can watch the colorful dhows coming and going about their journeys.
